Renovations Begin Inside Shore Road Property

Interior demolition and renovations are in full swing at Bay Ridge Prep’s new Shore Road property. Located at 7509 Shore Road, just across the street from athletic fields, running paths and waterfront parkland, the main building is being gutted in to prepare for its transformation into a facility that meets the school’s current and future needs. While the red brick facade of the building will remain intact, indoor renovations will continue in earnest as the school anticipates moving Grades 9-12 to Shore Road sometime during the 2024-2025 school year.

Phase 1 of the project goals include construction of classrooms, art spaces, a music room, an outdoor rooftop space, multipurpose areas and two science labs. That will be followed by Phase 2, which calls for construction of a gym to reduce the school’s need to rent off-campus physical education and athletic venues, plus provide a home court for the Bay Ridge Prep Tigers. Phase 2 is expected to be completed during the 2025-2026 school year.
